Is Microneedling Right For Me?
You may be good candidate for microneedling if you’re in good health and have certain skin concerns that haven’t responded to home treatments or other types of dermatologic procedures, such as peels. Microneedling requires no downtime, so it can be a better option than surgical procedures if that’s a concern. What Should I Expect With The Treatment?
During the microneedling procedure, our technician makes small pricks under the skin, using a pen-like tool. The pinpricks are too small to see, so they won’t be noticed by anyone. are so small that you likely won’t notice them after the procedure. The tool moves evenly across the skin, covering the entire area to be treated.
There is some discomfort with the treatment, but a topical anesthetic can be used to reduce this. After the treatment, a calming lotion may be applied to the treated areas. There’s no downtime, so can can return to daily routines right away. You may have to stay out of the sun or use sunscreen on the affected area for a few days.
What Are The Results?
The microneedling treatment stimulates your skin to begin collagen production, and the skin begins rejuvenating new tissue. You will start to see improvements within a couple of weeks, with optimum results coming a few weeks after the treatment.
